Unified content and video

OTT & Video Streaming Platform

We design and operate the full video value chain, so content moves from camera to customer on one platform with one CMS and one accountable operations team. Every contributor uploads through the same portal, every format lands in the same catalogue, and every screen gets the same branded experience.

The situation

What this exists to fix

  • Content arrives from many contributors through email, drives and ad-hoc transfers, with no single rulebook for rights, metadata or approval.
  • Live, video-on-demand, photo and text are managed in separate systems that never reconcile.
  • Video is published at one bitrate, so viewers on weak mobile connections stall or drop out entirely.
  • Premium content has no protection, and no reliable way to restrict playback by plan, region or device.
  • Revenue models are decided per title with no platform able to run free, subscription, pay-per-view and ad-supported access side by side.
  • Nobody can answer what the audience actually watched, for how long, or on which device.

The platform

12 modules, one data model.

Each module is purpose-built, and all of them share one record, one user directory and one audit trail.

01

Content management system

The command centre: ingest, metadata, rights declarations, moderation, scheduling and publishing for every content type from every contributor.

02

Provider portal and ingestion

Each contributor gets their own workspace with single, bulk and API upload, resumable transfers for large masters, rich metadata, thumbnails, category tagging and geo-tagging.

03

Moderation workflow

Upload, review, edit, approve and publish across content provider, moderator, approver and super-admin roles. Every action is logged — who uploaded, who reviewed, who approved, and when.

04

Video processing and adaptive delivery

Cloud transcoding to a 360p–1080p rendition ladder, packaged as HLS and MPEG-DASH, with 4K-ready architecture that can be enabled per title. The player switches renditions in real time to match each viewer's network.

05

Live streaming

SRT and RTMP contribution from studio, OB van or field kit into redundant ingest points, real-time transcoding, segment packaging and edge fan-out. Rolling news, 24×7 linear channels and ticketed events, archived live-to-VOD.

06

Video on demand

Catalogue with categories, seasons and episodes, search, recommendations, watch history, continue-watching and related content.

07

DRM and playback security

Integration with an enterprise multi-DRM service covering Widevine, FairPlay and PlayReady, plus tokenised expiring URLs, domain restrictions, encrypted segments, per-plan concurrent-device limits and access rules by plan, region and date.

08

CDN and delivery operations

Edge caching and origin shield configured, optimised and monitored by us on a partner CDN, with throughput, error and quality-of-experience monitoring that scales through live peaks.

09

Monetization

Free, premium, subscription, pay-per-view and ad-supported models combined by title, channel or region — one account, one checkout. Recurring plans with auto-renewal and one-time event access.

10

Advertising

Pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll with campaign scheduling, regional targeting and ad analytics. Server-side and dynamic ad insertion available as a later phase.

11

Identity and user management

Passwordless mobile or email OTP sign-in, multiple viewer profiles per account, device limits with remote sign-out, real-time entitlement, content preferences and audience segmentation.

12

Analytics

Daily and monthly actives, watch time, completion rate, conversion, churn, concurrent live viewers, device mix, top and trending content, and performance by region.

Integrate, don't rebuild

Built on services that already work

We build and own the application, the workflows and the operations. For infrastructure we integrate proven managed services rather than untested in-house equivalents — lower deployment risk, faster launch, and infrastructure billed at real usage.

Questions

Asked before every engagement

No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they do. We integrate proven enterprise multi-DRM and CDN services, then configure, optimise and monitor them. We build and own the CMS, provider portal, OTT applications, workflows and integrations. That lowers deployment risk and means infrastructure is billed at actual usage rather than a built-in markup on an untested in-house stack.

The first phase is a production-ready pilot on web: OTT front end, CMS, provider portal, moderation, geo-targeting, video processing, adaptive streaming, DRM, subscriptions, pay-per-view, payments, OTP, basic advertising and analytics. Native mobile and TV apps, AI subtitles, translation, recommendations and server-side ad insertion are second-phase modules, each scoped separately.

Yes — the architecture is built for distributed contribution. Each provider gets their own workspace mapped to a district, constituency or business unit, with content flowing through central moderation before publication. We have proposed configurations in the low hundreds of provider workspaces.

Separately and transparently. Storage, CDN, DRM, OTP, payment gateway, AI and cloud compute are all usage-based and billed at actual consumption. We never fold them into a single platform number, because the drivers — gigabytes stored, gigabytes delivered, licences issued, concurrent viewers, live hours — only become real once traffic assumptions are validated in discovery.
